Check It Out:
Thank you for all of your support during Youth Art Month! The Fine Arts Festival was the best so far. We had amazing attendance. The 2nd and 3rd grade dance was great! We now have the Mayor's proclomation that March is Youth Art Month. Our all county chorus sounded wonderful and packed the house. Almost every seat in the auditorium was full.
The arts are a very important part of our students education, and it we enjoy celebrating that. I can't wait until our next festival. If you have any suggestions on changes you would like us to make please drop me an email. acusato@wcps.k12.va.us We are planning to hold the next festival during the winter holidays next school year.
Past Events: Our K, 1, 4, and 5th grade students were able to have a day of dancing this month. We were lucky enough to be awarded a grant to have Miss Alyssa Crump return to our school to teach our students. They learned a portion of the Around The World dance that 2nd and 3rd learned in March. Dance is a form of art that uses the entire body for expression. We are very fortunate to have the resources to provide this opportunity to our students.
